An Epiphany on Humility
I was praying the joyful mysteries of the rosary last night, when I realized that in an effort to be more humble, I was just beating myself down.
For example: “I’m creative, but not the most creative/as creative as others.”
I realized that was not a healthy perspective, since the point of humility is that it ought to be directed towards God.
Instead: “I am creative because God has granted me a spirit of creativity.”
This way, I can acknowledge my skills without taking all the credit and still glorifying God.
