Capitalists will have children go without food before they give up even the tiniest part of their wealth.

I’ve actually asked Republicans why they’re against feeding children.  They believe the kids are hungry because their parents aren’t working hard enough.  Republicans think people will work harder if their children are hungry.  In other words, they believe it’s okay to TORTURE CHILDREN to get their parents to do what they want.

re-reblogging because THAT’S SOME SOCIOPATHIC SHIT

Yeah only republicans say it, they definitely say this, and only this, as sourced by a blatant anti-republican tumblr blog, it’s legit y’all. Lets shit on people you don’t know instead of talking about why people are struggling to afford food or how the system can be improved to prevent this.

Ginnie I read through your tags and you make good points but I’d also like to point out that there is enough wealth available in this country to support all of this. The problem is that the people st the top are allowed to make a grotesque amount of money- there’s no way that 1 second of Jeff besos’s “hardworking” time is actually worth over $4000, and yet he still makes that much which drains it from the economy. I know that’s not exactly what was being discussed here but these are not unrelated.

There have been studies to show that the absolute most satisfied someone can be with their paycheck is $95,000 a year, so making very much more than that is purposeless. In my opinion, all children should have equal/ equitable access to resources no matter how much their parents make, so if we cap income at even a million a year (still absurdly more than someone would need) and we invested that in the children, we soon wouldn’t even need to worry about it anymore, I would reckon.

Basically to get back to your point we should subsidize the people who produce our food rather than the billionaires who can’t even spend what they have. Then children get to eat, people are paid a fair amount for their work, everything is good.

I thought the paycheck satisfaction was 75K a year? It’s been a while since I read that study you are referring too.

Also I’m not gonna discuss what you shared since I would like to look into your points further. Normally I like to use overpaid bureaucrats and administrators in the school systems as a scapegoat but I know there are other factors as well.
