the fact that politicians always move to restrict speech rights and especially gun rights but constantly support everybody’s voting tells you just how unimportant voting rights actually are and how vital are gun rights and free speech

and before you come at me with some anecdotal examples of alleged “infringements” on voting rights which amount to having any official process at all to legally vote, my point is that even in their rhetoric they all support voting wholeheartedly but they don’t speak that way about free speech or gun rights

they do not see voting as a threat to their power, in fact they see more people voting as vital to legitimizing their power

but they see free speech, free thought, and especially decentralized gun ownership, as highly threatening to their power
