I would say Spiderman is an exception because there is a totally separate black Spiderman in the comics and he’s a pretty good character on his own. But in general yes.
ok so i saw your beethoven post and it kinda made me think of how ppl feel this need to replace traditionally white males with colored males or with women and as a women it’s sorta insulting? it’s like the whole captain marvel thing; you killed off two male cm’s to make a female one and instead of making it seem mighty. .. you give us a mary sue second thought? same with the black spiderman thing and black heimdall. like just make an original poc or white character.
