Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team has asked the Senate Judiciary Committee to agree to certain terms before she sits down for a potential interview over her accusation that Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her, two sources told Fox News on Thursday night.
Among the terms: Only members of the committee – no lawyers – can question her; Kavanaugh cannot be in the room at the time; and Kavanaugh must be questioned first.
The committee Democrats are going to push this hard. This isn’t a hearing, it’s a show trial.
She’s accusing him.
She must testify first–he has every right to know what her charges are–what she is saying. How can answer what she says about him and what may (or may not) have happed if he goes first? I would never allow that. I hope the committee does not.
This is insanity playing out.
It’s been brought to this. And they have been very calculating in setting this up.
First they immediately agreed to testify if invited.
Then they wouldn’t testify unless there was an fbi investigation first, knowing full well that the fbi can’t investigate a charge not containing a federal crime.
Now they will testify, but not on Monday, demanding conditions that allow her to tailor her allegations to Kavanaugh’s testimony.
And the fools on Capitol Hill are allowing this person with the flimsiest of accusations to drive the entire proceeding. They’ve met every demand due to the ideological zeitgeist gripping the nation.
Kangaroo court demands are bullshit regardless of your personal opinion of Kavanaugh.
