hey guys, this is wylan’s bf. they wanted me to let you know that they’re okay, and they haven’t done anything dangerous. this has impacted them a lot, though, so please be considerate. they want their blog to be a happy & safe place for everyone. attacking them for hours literally helps no one. i’m a poc artist & i was absolutely disgusted by the situation myself. there’s no excuse for what the artist did. nothing will change unless we do. 

No, I’m sorry, but you are not the victim here. You were the aggressor in this situation. You deliberately, intentionally went out of your way to harass and bully a fanartist for drawing something that you did not personally approve of. And that’s not me being hyperbolic, you outright admitted multiple times that it was bullying.

I’m sorry, but it’s a little hard for me to feel sympathetic towards somebody who was outright celebrating the fact that they had driven a fanartist to have panic attacks and go on hiatus, for what? For drawing Lance like a shade lighter than he’s portrayed in canon? That doesn’t justify what you did to them, not by a long shot.

You are not in the right here. You were never in the right in this situation. And now that you’re being called out on it, you’re posting these sob stories about how badly the situation is affecting you, as if you didn’t fucking start it in the first place. And from what you just said here, it’s pretty clear that you don’t actually think you were in the wrong.

If I was you, I would take a break from tumblr for a while. Think about what you’ve done, about the fact that you made a fanartist feel so unsafe that they had to take a break, and about how awful it feels to be on the recieving end of an overwhelming flood of negativity, like the one you put them through. When you come back, hopefully you’ll understand what you did wrong, and will try to make it right, starting with a sincere apology and a promise to never repeat this sort of behavior ever again.

I’m not going to harass you. I don’t believe that anybody deserves to be put through that kind of abuse. After I finish writing this reply, I am likely never going to contact you again. I really hope you learn from this situation and become a better person overall.
