Since my husband has been away for school, he’s had a really bad time sleeping. Physically he’s doing everything right – staying awake during the day, exercising, eating healthily – but mentally his mind won’t let him sleep. He’s tried meditating, asmr, all that good stuff that usually helps him, but it’s not working. Last night he didn’t fall asleep until 6am this morning. Does anyone have any tips or ideas that could help? It’s making him struggle in school too; he’s already had to miss several days because of exhaustion, which stresses him out more and makes sleep worse.

Even if you don’t have any advice, please pray for him 💚

Sending something that has your scent on it, like a shirt or something, might help.  If he’s not sleeping well because you’re not there, having something that smells like you might help him.  Heard a study about this and it’s apparently worked.  I’d link the study, but I don’t know where I heard it.

If he hasn’t tried it, there’s this tea I use that’s honestly more effective than the melatonin I take every night. I use it on my worse nights. The valerin root in it is a natural sedative, the only downside is potentially havin to use the restroom in the middle of the night

Thank you! I have had that tea and I love it. He’s not usually much of a tea drinker but I think he’s game for trying it by now haha
