For Butt, it sounds weird but get two of those Command 3M heavy weight rates hooks and place them opposite each other. Use heavy jute or whatever else you have around (glue one of the hooks to it). When the kid tries to open the door it works like a chain lock but is landlord friendly because it leaves no marks once removed. I use it for my 3yo and it works awesome.
