Yeah there was stuff that came out about him offering her some suggestions on how to run her campaign and telling her she was doing it wrong and focusing on the wrong voter base, but she plowed on ahead anyway. One thing Bill was pretty good at is making people from lower economic status really feel like he cared about them and was going to work to make their lives easier. Hillary gave a big fat middle finger to working-class Americans and it did not go over well.
I mean just flash back to 2016. While Trump was in the trenches with factory workers and Bernie was appealing to college students by reminding them how fucked the economy was, Hillary was calling potential voters “deplorables“, dabbing, and campaigning with Lena fucking Dunham. And speaking of Dunham, despite all her (many, many) flaws according to her she actually warned Clinton‘s campaign that Weinstein was a rapist and that it would be made public soon so it was probably a bad idea to have him be such an open and vocal supporter of Clinton’s campaign, but did Hillary listen? Take a guess.
Jesus Christ. Hillary’s campaign will be studied as “How to Not Win a Presidential Election 101” for any future politicians out there.
I have a feeling it will be taught in political science classes for years to come.
The entire rust belt bailed on her as soon as she said she wanted to shut down coal mines
