Not really. I mean there are definitely some pratfalls stemming from the fact that Bob isn’t used to doing that role, but he’s never incompetent and it’s always very clear that he cares for his kids and will do anything to be a good dad to them, even if he makes a few mistakes along the way.
Something that has been making me kind of nervous about going to go see Incredibles 2 is it seems like the mom and dad have switched places from the first movie. Helen is off doing super hero stuff and Bob is watching the kids. Do they do like… the standard dad jokes? Like he doesn’t know anything about how to watch children, let’s them run wild and do whatever they want and makes all sorts of silly mistakes with the chores?
