Hi! So I was arguing with someone about the Cake thing the other day, and I was using some of your talking points and they brought up the issue of if it sets a precedent that would allow a doctor to refuse to treat a patient that needed lifesaving care. And I really didn’t have an answer b/c my knee jerk response was that that doesn’t change anything, but they pointed out it might count as negligent homicide and how is that any different than the cake thing. and now idk. What do you think?

Well first of all nobody is going to fucking die if you don’t bake them a cake. Secondly healthcare providers take oaths and are usually publicly subsidized and therefore under some sort of obligation to either treat a patient or transfer them to somebody who will.
