While it is possible that slaves were involved in some elements of the construction, the bulk of the work was done by skilled craftsmen and engineers like most architectural marvels of this scale. I’m pretty sure most of the Washington Monument was completed well after the Civil War in fact.

Hollywood can’t seem to help itself to inject stupid crap like this into lighthearted movies to virtue signal to its woke audience members.  Why don’t they just have Spider-Man tear down a Confederate statue while they’re at it?
