I think it’s pretty disgusting, actually. Honestly it sucks. Much as I feel like saying some heat of the moment things all I really can say is I’m just gonna pray harder. I think it’s not just laws, the whole culture has to change to really make an abortion-free world possible.
We have a culture where pregnancy is considered a burden and a punishment, where parenthood is treated as a chore and children like little monsters and barely even people, where disabled people are considered a burden to their loved ones and life as expendable. Is it any wonder abortion is considered necessary?
If more options were made both public and available to women in need, if entire communities didn’t treat teen moms and desperate pregnant women like whores, if human life was valued enough that selectively killing off “nonviable” or “suffering” humans was unthinkable and adoption was more widely encouraged to those who couldn’t have children of their own, then terminating a life would be considered absurd.
The problem is that cultural change isn’t a simple problem to tackle, and screaming and yelling and pointing fingers won’t help you. It requires going against what your human nature would want to do.
