Imma keep it real with you chief ( because I love you ), many Catholic beliefs are straight up blasphemous.
It’s blasphemous to say that:
– What Christ did on the cross wasn’t enough and you have to work off unconfessed sins or anything else in Purgatory, as if anything you can do can save yourself
– the Pope is the head of the church instead of Christ Himself
– You can pay money to have your sins forgiven
– Works help save you, again as if what Christ did on the cross wasn’t enough and you could do a single thing to add to it
– you need to go through a priest to approach God instead of through Jesus Himself to have your sins forgiven
– Mary was sinless ( only Jesus was sinless )
– Having real genuine faith in Christ won’t save you unless you’re a Catholic
Catholicism is a cult and it’s dangerous. Only Scripture has the real answers you need about God and Catholic beliefs directly conflict with it if you study Scripture.
-we don’t believe that we can work off our sins
-in Purgatory you just suffer, you don’t “do” anything
-the pope is Christ’s representative on earth. We know that Jesus is the head of the Church
-Catholics don’t nor did we ever believe that you can pay to have your sins forgiven. Yes people abused indulgences but saying that an abuse is the accepted norm is like if I called you out for believing in the prosperity gospel just because a famous Christian teaches it

Catholicism isn’t a cult. Just because you don’t like an institution or think it teaches something wrong doesn’t make it a cult. By your logic I could say that Protestantism is a cult. Yeah the Bible does have the answers, and according to it we’re supposed to follow scripture and tradition. Here are 21 reasons why sola scriptura is heretical.
Can we stop calling the Church established by God himself a cult.
