@missourien Any time I suspect one of my students of plagiarism, I copy and paste a section of their writing into google with quotation marks. Then I show them where I found their writing word-for-word online. They’re usually pretty flabbergasted. I then give them the scary “plagiarism is illegal and you can get kicked out of school etc. etc.” and they sometimes cry and always swear they’ll never do it again.
