Padre Pio: “Why is there evil in this world? Listen carefully. There is a mother who is embroidering. Her son sitting on a low stool sees her work, but upside down. He sees the knots of the embroidery; the tangled threads, and says: “Mother, what are you doing? Your work is not at all clear?”
Then the mother lowers the embroidery frame and shows the right side of her work. Each color is in its place and the variety of threads form a harmonious design.
So, we are seeing the reverse side of the embroidery. We are sitting on a low stool.“
(The above quote was what led me to discover these amazing works of embroidery by Cayce Zavaglia. On left the reverse side of each work.)
My aunt’s house in Atlanta was broken into. Thankfully the alarm scared them off before they could get anything and she wasn’t home at the time, but they tried it in broad daylight. Now she’s talking about wanting to get a gun permit and frankly I am in support.
if you’re irish and you complain about britain “erasing culture” but can’t even speak the language/ don’t know shit about ireland before 1910 then just shut your cakehole nobody cares
Them being Irish and not being able to speak the language/not knowing shit about Ireland before 1910 is a direct result of Britain erasing culture, you goddamn Vitamin D-deficient circus clown
Facebook memories just bought back to my mind that Saudi Arabian blockade from last year that was causing Yemenese children to starve to death. Thankfully, during that difficult time our heroic journalists dedicated lots of headline space to making fun of the way Trump drinks water.
