Santa Claus is a pagan idol.
It’s a satanic trick for people to forget Jesus, Mary and Joseph at Christmas.

Santa’s not a pagan idol, but he is use to usurp the religious holiday at the heart of Christmas – the Nativity.  Christians can be excited about the approach of Advent, but I’m reblogging because we really should keep everything to its own time.  Halloween to Hallow Month, Thanksgiving to November, and wait for Advent before we start preparing for Christ’s coming.

the santa we know wasn’t a thing until 1881 and is based off immigrant tales of Saint Nicholas

Capitalists will have children go without food before they give up even the tiniest part of their wealth.

I’ve actually asked Republicans why they’re against feeding children.  They believe the kids are hungry because their parents aren’t working hard enough.  Republicans think people will work harder if their children are hungry.  In other words, they believe it’s okay to TORTURE CHILDREN to get their parents to do what they want.

re-reblogging because THAT’S SOME SOCIOPATHIC SHIT

Yeah only republicans say it, they definitely say this, and only this, as sourced by a blatant anti-republican tumblr blog, it’s legit y’all. Lets shit on people you don’t know instead of talking about why people are struggling to afford food or how the system can be improved to prevent this.

Ginnie I read through your tags and you make good points but I’d also like to point out that there is enough wealth available in this country to support all of this. The problem is that the people st the top are allowed to make a grotesque amount of money- there’s no way that 1 second of Jeff besos’s “hardworking” time is actually worth over $4000, and yet he still makes that much which drains it from the economy. I know that’s not exactly what was being discussed here but these are not unrelated.

There have been studies to show that the absolute most satisfied someone can be with their paycheck is $95,000 a year, so making very much more than that is purposeless. In my opinion, all children should have equal/ equitable access to resources no matter how much their parents make, so if we cap income at even a million a year (still absurdly more than someone would need) and we invested that in the children, we soon wouldn’t even need to worry about it anymore, I would reckon.

Basically to get back to your point we should subsidize the people who produce our food rather than the billionaires who can’t even spend what they have. Then children get to eat, people are paid a fair amount for their work, everything is good.

I thought the paycheck satisfaction was 75K a year? It’s been a while since I read that study you are referring too.

Also I’m not gonna discuss what you shared since I would like to look into your points further. Normally I like to use overpaid bureaucrats and administrators in the school systems as a scapegoat but I know there are other factors as well.

@awaiting-my-escape you can’t drain wealth from an economy. wealth is not finite. most multi-millionares like bezoz posses most of their wealth through assets, not liquidated money. money cannot be created by anyone but wealth can (as it is anything that others see as having worth)

i don’t disagree that there’s some beauracracy and greed involved but i just wanted to point out that rich people being rich isn’t preventing anyone else from prosperous just by virtue of having that wealth

One of my history professors is this scarily intense German guy, and today we were talking about the peer reviewing process and how vicious some academics can get, so I casually asked him what the worst review he’d ever received was.

He became very stony-faced, looked off into the distance and said, completely deadpan and in his thick accent:

“It does not matter. They are dead now.”

I think my professor has killed a man.

This was George. He was a 9 year old Jack Russell who lived in the small town of Manaia, New Zealand. On April 29, 2007 he jumped into a losing fight with two Pit Bulls to protect two young children. According to witnesses he fought as hard as he could, but he never stood a chance and was severely mauled as the children were pulled to safety. George died from his wounds that afternoon at the vet.
