I disagree. Look at what happened with Kingdom Come Deliverance. People were outraged that there weren’t more people of color in medieval Eastern Europe. Realistically only like 5% of the population in the US today is LGBT but I can’t remember the last time I saw a modern show without at least one gay couple, yet people still complain about representation. I don’t even mind, but I know it has nothing to do with realism. It’s about control, and that’s what bothers me.
There are also many game examples of forced diversity for the sake of agenda. One such dead beaten horse would be bf 5 and it’s portrayal of war as an adult paintball game,complete with a diverse cast and wacky weapons. That is a modern example but there are plenty to find in other games.
CoD WWII had black female nazis. I don’t think it had anything to do with realism.
Quote unquote ‘fans’ of Mass Effect Andromeda had such a shit fit about Jaal not being bisexual due to an innocuous tweet by (I think) his VA and some datamining before the game released (that as far as I remember was never proven true) that claimed he was supposed to be bi that Bioware caved to them and made Jaal bisexual in a patch to get them to shut up. Then again, Bioware has a pretty horendously toxic fanbase and theyve pretty much had a fit about every one of their games after they were bought by EA because not enough of the romancable characters were LGBT or they werent the right kind of LGBT (the whole thing with DA2 where they didnt like all 4 romance options being bisexual).
Bioware has two fanbases: fans of the original Bioware and fans that only care about romance options. EA has managed to lose their original loyal fans by trying to please the louder toxic fans.
True enough. Personally I love romances in games but with how much bioware has pandered theyve invited in a massive toxic fan base that makes it hard to find fans who arent conpletely batshit amd wont attack you for not liking their favorite ships/characters.
I feel ya. I like romance as much as the next guy but its the cherry on top rather than the main dish if you know what I mean. The amount of people Ive seen complaining about the lack of hardcore porn in Andromeda is disturbing.

It’s a Facebook Watch series called “extreme love“ which is just a typo they meant to say “extreme degeneracy”. When I see shit like this I start to understand why terrorists think the West needs to burn.
