Biohazard

Read a post about human spit being considered venomous because it has so much bacteria but what if humans as a whole were considered by aliens to be a biohazard, like it could be dangerous to even stand next to a human.

So what if finally aliens had to come up with a way to safely be around humans? The bravest of their scientists and human scientists would have to come up with a ton of vaccines for the aliens to make their immune systems strong enough to at least stand in close proximity to a human. Then for long term exposure of human crew members they’d need to get regular vaccines designed to those specific human genetics. Also the humans who interacted with aliens on a regular basis would probably need to take some alternate vaccines that trained their systems to not see the aliens as something to attack.

This could lead to human’s being kept as an alternate line of defense on ships, not because of any if the other weird things about us, but because if a foreign alien enters any non-sterial part of the ship they’ll get contaminated and likely die.

The humans would likely have sterilization stations between their door and the rest of the ship and space type biohazard suits for emergency situations and such.

Feel free to elaborate on this

That’s an interesting thought…from space orcs to space komodo dragons 😉

Why would aliens be in any danger from human diseases?

Same reason you can’t drink the water in Mexico but locals can
