It’s more the fact that a lot of young couples are deciding not to have kids and only have animals instead, weirdly treating them like they’re their actual children.
I love my cat and call her my child/baby all the time, but I don’t really act like she’s my literal spawn. She’s also not a surrogate for real kids, she’s just a companion I really love.
When couples start replacing babies and children with pets, it gets creepy and wrong. Marriage was designed for kids, not animals.

What’s wrong with having fur babies? Not everyone can or wants kids…I know old people who aren’t married nor have kids and are alone and have a pet that IS basically their baby. Their fur baby. I do as well but I’m young. So why do so mant catholics get so triggered over this??
