Look I’m thrilled that people are fired up and voting in record numbers. Love it. Wish more people would vote every election. But everyone also needs to chill out. This almost certainly will not be the most important election of our lives, neither will the next one or the one after that. I’ve had plenty of elections go not my way. The only thing to do when that happens is take the next week to enjoy the fact that there are no more campaign ads and your phone isn’t ringing off the hook with robocalls, then gear up for the next election. I promise there will be another one sooner than we’d all like and I prmise the sun will still come up tomorrow morning as scheduled. Life will go on.
If the only way you could get most people out to vote is by insisting to them that it’s the most important time ever, you might be a bit sensationalist.
