You do realize I WORK for a rural white person. He’s got a PhD in agriculture and another in animal health care. He understands the more complex biological systems of cattle and knows how to raise them and breed them for superior stock. He knows how to formulate – as in do chemistry – proper balanced nutrition for them so they maintain healthy weight and live good lives. He knows how to formulate – that word again – insect control and medications to handle everything from illness to allergies to injured limbs.
The man has textbooks and technical journals *I* can’t read, even with my college education, about everything from how cows give birth to the best way to combat parasites in cattle.
He raises cows for food and for milk – he *makes* your food – and he knows the complex chemistry and biology necessary to make your food nutritious while simultaneously making the *cow’s* food nutritious.
The absolute power held by rural white people? The only person I know with as much power as him is the other guy I also work for, one of his several partners, who also has two PhDs and who knows more about the cattle market than I could ever dream of. (They’re the only two that have multiple doctorates in something in the group, but the rest of the partners are at least as intelligent as they are.)
These two, and their other partners, own a multi-million-dollar company that is unsurpassed in the United States.
