Composers are awesome. And they do this just for the musicians bc no one else reads it but us. It makes rehearsals so much fun.

Also musicians are pretty horrible at going all out, dynamics-wise, usually. It takes words and weird images and all kinds of things like this to get musicians to play it exactly how the composer wants you to. Makes the conductor’s job a little easier too

I remember playing music in middle and high school (cue not professional musician lol), I loved seeing things like this. And when the fortes were ridiculous! Lol

Lol when I make notes in my sheet music, I do the same thing tho, like 14 gigantic F’s in bright blue so I cant miss it. Like classical guitar can even play that loud haha
