In addition to my general distaste for the fact that they’re remaking the Grinch yet again and it’s by fucking Illumination of all companies, without a doubt the most frustrating thing is that they cast Benedict freaking Cumberbatch, a Shakespearean actor with a dynamic and recognizable deep British baritone voice, only to have him speak in an irritating squeaky American accent that doesn’t sound like him at all. I mean what was the damn point?
