It’s essentially a celebration of Martin Luther hammering the 95 theses on the church doors and the Reformation/splintering of the faithful that occurred there-after. For a Catholic, it is hardly something that is worth celebrating.
I’d much rather we talk about the counter-reformation saints such as St. Francis who addressed the problems within the Church and made true reformation from within, as well as pray together for true unity among all Christians around the world.
