Pochahontas au? Really? Come on, you’re a talented artist but this is legitimately racist. Not fake cartoon racist, legitimately racist with real world implications. Pochahontas was a child who was kidnapped and raped by colonists, “Pochahontas” was not even her real name. That movie is not a love story, its anti-Native propaganda.
Pocahontas the historical person =/= a fictional Disney story that already took huge liberties with historical accuracy. It wasn’t a damn biopic; I doubt the historical Pocahontas had conversations with talking trees and sentient raccoons either.
If you’re going to criticize this art for anything, criticize it for being what appears to be a really crude tracing and hardly original.
@elia-martel the real life Pochahontas (which was her nickname given to her by her father) was not infact raped nor was she kidnapped, she befriended the pilgrims and eventually married one (which was also 100% her choice).
