I say this without a shred of irony:

pageant moms are abusive monsters.

I would argue that not all pageant mom’s are abusive BUT IT IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN THE INDUSTRY.

Not all, no, but it’s the environment itself that’s a breeding ground for abuse and exploitation. Anyone who claims these pageants exist because the girls love doing them is full of shit. It’s a multi-billion dollar industry. One that fills the pockets of greedy adults who are more than happy to cash in on the sexual exploitation of little girls. The mothers care more about their self-fulfilling fantasies to make up for whatever they’re lacking in their lonely, pathetic lives than they do the health and safety of their own children.

TLC is garbage. What used to be called “The Learning Channel” is now a cesspool of trash that rewards morally deficient people with their own TV shows. They’ve already had to cancel “19 Kids and Counting” and “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” for child molestation scandals. Though they claim they did so for the safety of the children involved, if that were really true, they wouldn’t still be airing shows that any decent human being can clearly see is exploitative and reprehensible.
