Watch Meet the Feebles. It did the whole “Muppets doing crude shit” better 20+ years ago.

That’s the thing. When I say doesn’t look good I don’t mean it from a “OMG you’re ruining my childhood!” standpoint. I realize the Muppets are no strangers to adult comedy and frankly the idea of a film noir with Muppets is kind of intriguing. But the humor… it looks bad. Like extremely lowbrow “It’s Muppets but they talk about dicks and have sex and stuff! Lololololol 2edgy4u”

Plus Melissa McCarthy is only funny in certain situations and in small doses. And I like Joel McHale but I don’t know how much he can do with this script. Somebody said it looks more like the plot to an SNL sketch than a whole feature film and I would agree. I’m just not sure how much you can wring out of the premise.

I thought she was good in that spy movie with Sandra Bullock, Jason Statham, and Allison Janney, with that title I can’t remember.

Melissa McCarthy is actually pretty good. It’s her toxic friends I can’t stand.

That buddy cup she did with Sandra Bullock was pretty funny but I would follow Sandra Bullock to the ends of the earth.
