Yeah that’s how I see it too
There are many verses talking about alcohol as a blessing from God. It’s meant to be enjoyed in moderation. The Lord’s supper consists of bread and wine!
Paul even told Timothy to stop drinking only water and drink some wine. (He was having stomach problems)
He makes grass grow for the cattle, and plants for people to cultivate— bringing forth food from the earth: wine that gladdens human hearts, oil to make their faces shine, and bread that sustains their hearts.
Psalms 104:14-15
Jesus turned water into wine at Cana.
All I say is “Jesus if you say so.”
His mother asked him to.
I don’t know if john15-10’s skipped portions of the Bible or if she’s just making things up as she goes, but alcohol in moderation is fine in God’s eyes.
Yes I understand that. As I’ve said, the state of being drunk is a sin.
Drunkadness is a sin.
Drinking in moderation is not.
I’ll speak harshly on this topic because it’s harsh on my childhood. My father was an alcoholic and I hate alcohol.
This post is mainly a personal opinion.
“Not supposed to drink because it opens the door to sin” feels like “oh, because you even decided to touch a peppermint schnapps, you have sinned.”
You agreed with that, and I’m sorry about your childhood, really, but Jesus had also said, “It didn’t matter what a man puts in his mouth, so long as what comes out is pure.”
But then again, who am I to argue with someone who thinks my sexuality on its own is a sin worthy of hell?
The amount of shilling for one of the most destructive drugs in history is disappointing…
“Hey just letting you know this thing you suggested is a sin is not, in fact, a sin”
“Lmao why are you shilling for drugs?”
