Apparently, you’re a nazi. I didn’t know if you knew this, but according to some left wing tumblrs, you are a nazi

That term has been so misused on this website that it has become a compliment.

If “nazi” = disagrees with liberal rhetoric, then yes I am.

Fun note: “Nazi” is a nickname for the National Socialist Party. Nazis were socialists.

That’s why I find it so hilarious when people call conservatives “Nazis” and “fascists.” Like we’re actually on the opposite side of the spectrum, believing in free markets, low taxes, small government, and individual liberty for everyone.

lol the nazis weren’t literally the worst political movement in the history of humanity because of their economics policies. If the only difference between you and a nazi you can point out is economics, you’re a nazi.

Also using the defence saying “the left calls everyone who disagrees with them a nazi” is just so overused and simply not true. Disagreeing with far left ideals is one thing, disagreeing with basic human decency and compassion is another.

I certainly did not say that the only difference between me and the Nazis was economics.

My point in saying they were socialists is that they lean more toward today’s Democrats than toward Republicans, yet we are the ones being called Nazis.

Do you think that I disagree with basic human decency and compassion? Is that something you have gathered from my blog? Or is it simply because I’m pro-2nd Amendment and against abortion?

Again, nobody cares about the socialism side of the nazis platform. Who cares that their economic policies line up more closely with todays left than right????? It was everything else about them that was the problem and if you cant understand that then you are a nazi or nazi sympathizer, which at this point is the same thing.

And to be honest I didnt even bother looking at your blog I learnt everything I need to know about you from your response to anon. You literally said it was a compliment to be called a nazi.

It’s a compliment on this website because of how the term is misused. It’s not a compliment anywhere else.

The issue is whether the economic policies of the Nazis can be cleanly separated from their eugenics, imperialism, or any of the other terrible things they did. I would argue that they cannot.

Let’s take the eugenics issue. If you look at propaganda posters from Nazi Germany, there’s a message that shows up frequently: people with disabilities or other serious health concerns are a burden on society and a drain on resources. This was used to justify murdering people with disabilities.

Now, the propaganda poster comes closest to being “true” with a socialist economy. When you have universal health care or another social safety net, those who use benefits without being able to give back through productivity become a drain on the system. So how do you solve that problem? Well, if you’re a eugenicist, your go-to solution is to “clean up” the gene pool in hopes of reducing the number of “drains” and “burdens” on the system.

We are already seeing something similar in the UK where people with severe disabilities and illnesses are being denied treatment (Charlie Gard, Allie Evans). This is what socialism does. It is not sustainable unless you can cut out the “weak links”.

So when I see a socialist country start killing off those who it sees as “inferior,” I am in no way surprised. It’s a natural, logical conclusion of socialist ideology.

This is why I care that the Nazis were socialist. It’s a central part of their platform (it’s in the darn name) and all or nearly all of their other crimes came from that central plank.
