Really, Bioware? Did your new staff consist of 14 year old tumblr activists? Did you seriously throw out 3 games of lore in 30 seconds for IDENTITY POLITICS? I’m ignoring that bullshit. 😒
I’ve noticed they’ve been retconning a lot of their lore to jump on the identity politics bandwagon and it’s like … really cringey
I might have not even cared as much if that asari hadn’t claimed that identifying as male was a normal part of their culture. Like how can that be possible when Aria herself stated that the word “patriarchy” didn’t exist in their language?
Idk retcons is a huge pet peeve of mine and Bioware is one of the worst offenders.
Among the technical issues it had upon release, the notably sub par animations, and forced social issues engrained in the story, just to top it all off apparently the devs at least partially blame the release of other rpg titles during the month of release and even named Breath of the Wild as one of the reasons it didnt sell well. EA has finally killed BioWare…
Lets face it….Bioware pretty much died a long time ago.
