“Why does Hollywood news focus so much on women’s dresses?” because men’s fashion is extremely limited and most of the time guys are stuck wearing the same freaking suit and tie and if you’re lucky, one of them will be “brave” enough to wear a color other than black.
Seriously though, fashion designers need to add more variety to menswear.
Not even just variety of color and patterns, but general shape. Women’s fashion has countless shapes and cuts, but even “eccentric” men’s fashion is restricted to slacks and jackets.
people might think this looks tacky but at least it’s different and inventive.
Additionally they focus on women’s dresses at these events because these actresses specifically went to a fashion designer to get themselves a fancy ass dress for that specific evening more times than not. They’re being asked because it’s more or less accepted that these women will plug the particular designer or that it will get them exposure.
Meanwhile it’s not like even a designer tux stands out next to most tuxedos. So it gets no acknowledgement.
